BSides Bloomington is back September 26–27 at the Monroe County Convention Center in downtown Bloomington, IN, and I couldn’t be more stoked . This year’s theme—“From Roots to Revolution: Building an Inclusive & Activist Cyber Future”—promises to blend hacker history, digital rights, and solarpunk vibes in a way that only BSides can .
🚨 My Two Cents—and Invites!
- Incident Response Tabletop – I’ll be leading a tabletop exercise that’s equal parts brain teaser and panic drill. Think: if your network was a sinking ship, can your incident crew row to safety—or will they drill holes instead?
- CMMC Journey Talk – Want to know how to get compliant without turning your IT team into auditors? I’ll walk you through the rocky path to CMMC readiness, complete with detours, speed bumps, and that one time I nearly C&C’d a compliance form.

- Got a rad idea? Flash (15 min), deep dive (50 min), or full-on workshop (80 min)? Yes, please! The Call for Speakers is open—anyone and everyone is welcome .
